Sisu starts where grit ends. It is the second engine we don't realise we have, until we think we have come to the end of our mental / physical strength. Sisu is extra ordinary determination that allows us to keep going.

ABOUT COACH KAI


Sisu Training was founded in 2019 by Kaisu Karttunen (‘Kai’) to help everyday athletes discover their sisu (their own inner strength).


Kai’s journey with fitness wasn’t always smooth. After loving movement as a teen dancer, she fell into years of yo-yo dieting, binge eating, and negative body image. At 21, she forced herself back into the gym, hired a personal trainer, and slowly learned to to heal her body-image as a bi-product of weight training.


In 2018, she became a fitness coach to help others break the cycle of yo-yo dieting and confusing training. Her programs have helped hundreds to go from negative body-image to feeling powerful, strong, and capable.


Kai’s own journey has included powerlifting (125kg squat!), bodybuilding (ICN Sports Model Pro 2022), and now focuses on helping other everyday athletes to find "the mix" that works for them - whether it's strength, functional or mobility style training!


She believes in teamwork, small wins, and finding what works for YOU—and would be honoured to coach you along the way.

Sisu Training specialises in helping everyday people to stop yo-yo dieting and inconsistent training. Feeling confident in your skin is priceless! Having a personal trainer / online fitness coach by your side makes getting fitter and staying consistent so much easier!


NUTRITION -  Our zero-restictions approach is the key to prevent yo-yo dieting and binge eating. Food freedom has been proven to work by hundreds of Sisu Athletes. No “good” or “bad” foods—just small daily habits that build long-term food freedom. 


TRAINING - Less is more. 45-minute sessions are enough to reach your goals. We focus on simple, consistent programs, plus mobility and strength exercises that keep your back, knees, and shoulders pain-free.

Having a community to support you will help you to stay motivated in your fitness journey!
