Sisu starts where grit ends. It is the second engine we don't realise we have, until we think have come to the end of our mental / physical strength. Sisu is extra ordinary determination that allows us to keep going.

Sisu Training was established in 2019 by Kaisu Karttunen ('Kai'), to help others understand what sisu is, and more importantly, to find theirs.
Kai's fitness journey in a nutshell:
"I started loving movement as a teenager when I was a dancer in competitive group. However, completely fell off track at around 18 and found myself binge eating & drinking, having negative body-image and constantly struggling with yo-yo dieting.
At the age of 21, I literally forced myself to go to the gym. I got a personal trainer that I couldn't cancel on and created a new morning routine. Thank goodness I stuck with it (mostly), and learnt to LOVE weight training and anything to do with fitness!
In 2018 I decided to become a fitness coach to help others get out of their yo-yo training/dieting, as I understand how hard it feels - but also how doable it is to fix it. I have worked out a template that has worked on hundreds of people and there is nothing more rewarding than watch someone coming from "no fitness background" to feel like a powerful athlete!
After going through phases of loving powerlifting (up to 125kg squat) to then bodybuilding (where I won my ICN national title Sports Model Pro in 2022), I am currently practicing and preaching LIFESTYLE BALANCE.

NUTRITION - Our zero-restictions approach is the key to prevent yo-yo dieting and binge eating. Food freedom has been proven to work with all our clients. There are no foods you should or shouldn't eat. Instead of focusing on "being perfect", we focus on small daily habits. There is no need to overcomplicate it.
TRAINING - Instead of “all or nothing” -approach, we believe that less is more. No hours at the gym - 45min sessions are enough to get you to your goal. Keeping your gym program simple and consistent is the key to maintain long term results. We have a huge library of mobility and strength exercises that prevent niggles that are far too common - keeping lower back, knees and shoulders pain-free IS POSSIBLE!
Sisu Training's purpose is to help every day people find the athlete within them. We are all athletes, including you, and with the help of personal trainer / online fitness coach you will be able to express the athletic side of you.
It's common to think that fitness and health is all about looks and physique. Sisu Training is here to show how everything starts from the inside. When you follow a simple gym program CONSISTENTLY, performance will improve. Good / strong looks is only a by-product of the mental strength and self-love we practise to achieve.
